Autumn Activities

Taking advantage of pleasant fall weather and a relative lull in the pandemic, we squeezed in some family visits with trips to the Barrie area and eastern Ontario. Between winter weather and the upcoming "tripledemic" of COVID, RSV and the flu, we also knew that these might (and did) turn out to be our Christmas visits as well.

We took the opportunity to go for a nice hike at the Sheffield Conservation Area, our most challenging effort since returning from Iceland. There were also numerous walks closer to home, beautiful and relaxing though without much elevation in terrain.

The Wheatley Winter Sale brought decent weather, on a sunny but rather windy November day. Quite a few people came out, though in the current climate of economic uncertainty, fewer people seemed to be buying.

Dave also came for a few visits to enjoy the property, home cooking and the many cats, along with a Star Wars marathon.
