The First Cut is the Deepest

Baby, I know.

Gorgeous spring day today, lots of work to do around the yard, with a cadre of cats for company. Everything is a bit behind this year as winter hangs on for dear life, but the weather seems to have finally broken for good. Cut some grass, cut some wood, hung some laundry, tilled some garden....and BBQ'd some chicken!

And the daffodils look lovely today....

Spring Fling

Poor Spring, it doesn't seem to know if it's coming or going. Typically at this time of year I am starting to cut grass and plant vegetables....but yesterday we actually awoke to minute traces of snow. Otherwise it's just been sporadically warm and sunny, and then cold, windy and damp.

Even the flowers are playing peek-a-boo.
