For the Fallen

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

Our grandfathers served, and survived World War II - one in a tank and one in a plane.  Today we remember their service, and remember The Fallen.

Fall Back

What a perfect combination - an absolutely gorgeous autumn weekend, along with gaining an hour of sleep as we turn the clocks back. Lots of yardwork and winterizing to do, and fabulous weather with which to do it. I'll take another four months of this!

Cut the grass one last time, along with the latest round of dandelions. Climbed the full length of the ladder and trimmed some key branches from the willow tree, which were entangling the hydro lines. Cut and stained some wooden canvasses for Jane. Pulled and tilled the garden, in spite of tomatoes and peppers STILL producing in the waning sun.

And then there were cats.

Maybe that's why they call it Fall?
